Managed to practise my French too. Both towns are genuinely beautiful. The markets are incredible, and the atmosphere is definitely worth experiencing. I didn’t see any tourists in either place… real hidden gems.

As autumn gives way to winter, I’ve found myself exploring warmer tones in the studio. This new piece, A Whisper of a Trace, is part of the In the Presence of Angels series — a body of work shaped by those moments when a calm sense of presence is felt. For me, it feels like an expansion of light, here to lift the spirits and infuse each moment with joy.

Losing myself in these atmospheric pieces is so wonderful — they’re deeply meditative to paint.
