It’s pretty overcast today, so I spent a few minutes sketching in the garden. Still lovely and warm.

One of the things I like about drawing is that it helps switch off my mind and simply observe. I always set a timer so the pencil stays loose and can create unexpected marks.

A blast from the past.

Hanging a show at one of my galleries back in 2020, just after the first lockdown and with another one on the horizon. It was a challenging time for so many businesses.

Looking back, I loved how it all came together.

After the third lockdown, and after selling more of my paintings online, it finally pushed me into painting full time.

I loved running Bluemoon Gallery and later Art Hub Gallery, working with artists at every stage of their careers, from emerging to established and blue-chip. But after twenty years, it was time for a new chapter.

Those years gave me a deep understanding of the art world, from selling and brokering artwork to working with collectors, curating exhibitions, and understanding what helps artists build sustainable careers.
